The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced the schedule for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) UG 2025, one of the most eagerly awaited exams for undergraduate admissions in India. The exam is the key to getting seats in several central, state, and deemed universities, including top institutions such as Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, and Jawaharlal Nehru University.
CUET UG 2025 Exam Schedule
The CUET UG 2025 examination will be conducted between May 8 and June 1, 2025. Like every year, the test will be organized in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode in multiple cities in India and some international cities. The larger testing window guarantees that all candidates for various combinations of subjects are accommodated in an efficient manner.
Exam Shifts and Duration
CUET 2025 will be held in several daily shifts, presumably in the following pattern:
Shift 1: 9:00 AM to 12:15 PM
Shift 2: 3:00 PM to 6:45 PM
Certain subjects could be conducted in extra shifts based on registration levels. Each test module will be conducted between 45 minutes to an hour based on the subject. Candidates need to check their admit cards for exact time slot and session information about each subject.
Application Process and Correction Window
Application Start Date: March 1, 2025
Last Date to Apply: March 22, 2025
Correction Window: March 24–26, 2025
During the correction window, candidates can correct any discrepancies in their application forms, like subject selection, category details, or personal details. It’s essential to verify the form twice before final submission to prevent discrepancies later.
Admit Card and City Intimation
The city intimation slips are likely to be released in mid-April 2025, allowing candidates to plan their journey well in advance. Admit cards will be downloadable from the first week of May 2025 on the official CUET website: cuet.nta.nic.in.
Both the admit card and a valid photo ID must be brought to the examination center. No one will be allowed without proper documentation.
Subject-Wise Schedule and Syllabus
The subject-wise detailed schedule has not been released yet but will be out soon. Candidates can then see the particular date, time, and shift assigned to each subject on their dashboard. The test will assess knowledge in core subjects, general aptitude, and language skills based on the courses and universities opted for.
CUET UG 2025 will have the same pattern as the previous year:
Section IA & IB: Language tests
Section II: Domain-specific subjects
Section III: General test (for some universities)
