Operation Sindoor: India also took revenge of the Pahalgam terror attack and other attacks within the country by air strike in Pakistan. The Indian Army did this under Operation Sindoor. DGMO Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai provided some information regarding the operation during the press befing on Sunday (May 11, 2025).
He revealed that during the aerial attacks carried out in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, over 100 terrorists were eliminated in strikes on 9 terror camps, including major terrorists such as Yusuf Azhar, Abdul Malik Raouf and Mudasir Ahmed. Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai stated that these terrorists also carried out the abduction and Pulwama explosion of the IC-814 flight. Also informed that Murid’s hub of Lashkar-e-Taiba, which gave rise to terrorists such as Ajmal Kasab and David Headley, has also been damaged.

He claimed that the intention of the air strike was to punish the conspirators of terrorist attacks and annihilate their terrorist network, which we were able to successfully accomplish.
India was forced to let Masood Azhar go free in 1999
Mohammad Yusuf Azhar was also referred to as Ustad ji and Ghosi Saheb. Azhar was the head commander of Jaish -e -Mohammed and he was the brother -in -law of Maulana Masdu Azhar. He used to deal with arms training for Jaish -e -Mohammed. Joseph was also implicated in the IC-814 plane Kandahar Hijack case, because of which India was forced to release Masood Azhar in 1999.
