PM Modi Clarifies: Operation Sindoor and Vermilion Continues, Pakistan Warned

New Delhi, May 11, 2025 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it amply clear that Operation Sindoor and Operation Vermilion are going on unabated as part of India’s strong reaction to continued threats from across the border. In a clear message to Pakistan, PM Modi reiterated that India will never accept terrorism and that military operations will go on as long as the security of the country is under threat.

The statement comes after rising concerns about ceasefire violations and continued provocations from terrorist groups operating in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. India has shown unwavering resolve in its military operations, reaffirming that its focus remains on neutralizing terrorist infrastructure and protecting the safety of its citizens.

PM Modi’s Firm Stance on Security

Addressing from New Delhi, Prime Minister Modi declared, “We will not let any terrorist find shelter or carry out activities from within Pakistan’s borders. Operation Sindoor and Operation Vermilion will go on until our goals are met. Pakistan has been warned—our message is clear: ceasefire violations will not go unpunished.”

The operations—Sindoor and Vermilion—were launched by India in response to several cross-border terrorist strikes. Operation Sindoor, aimed at important terrorist camps and Pakistan’s military infrastructure, has already borne fruit, debilitating terror networks that carried out attacks on Indian soil. Operation Vermilion, launched simultaneously, plans to further inhibit terror financing channels and fight attempts at infiltration along the Line of Control (LoC).

Ceasefire Violations and the Indian Response

Even after the announcement of a ceasefire on May 10, 2025, a number of incidents such as drone movement and blasts in Jammu and Kashmir have escalated tension. The violations were immediately answered with counter-reaction by the Indian Armed Forces, Vikram Misri, Foreign Secretary asserting, “Any attempt to disrupt peace will be met with a strong and swift response.”

PM Modi, in his speech, reaffirmed that India won’t think twice before acting should Pakistan continue to harbor terrorists and indulge in acts of violence. The government, while promoting peace, has gone on record asserting that national security is the biggest priority.

World Reactions and Diplomatic Policy

The Indian government’s firm approach has received backing from many international partners, including the United States and China, both of whom have called for restraint and dialogue between India and Pakistan. However, PM Modi’s remarks suggest that India will not compromise on its stance when it comes to terrorist activities.

“While we pursue peace, we will never hesitate to protect our sovereignty,” PM Modi claimed. “Our troops are prepared to meet any challenge from Pakistan. The world is aware of India’s peaceful intentions, but it will never accept provocations or cross-border terrorism.”

Military Readiness and Vigilance

India’s military has been on high alert following the escalation of tensions along the LoC. Military strategists believe that the combination of Operation Sindoor and Operation Vermilion will help eliminate terrorist cells in Pakistan and dismantle any remaining infrastructure used for infiltrations into India.

The officials have also emphasized that the Indian Army is well equipped to intensify its operations if the need arises. There have been reports that Indian Air Force fighter jets have already made precision attacks on various Pakistani military sites employed to aid militant operations.

Current Tensions and Future Perspective

While Pakistan keeps on denying financing terrorism, India’s military and diplomatic actions are meant to instill international pressure on Islamabad. The hardline stance taken by PM Modi sends out a clear message to Pakistan that India will not yield to terror. The operations will go on as far as the threat of terrorism exists and is not checked.

As events continue to unfold, the government of India has called on the international community to remain steadfast against terrorism and criticize Pakistan for hosting terror groups.

Conclusion: The Path Ahead

India’s military and diplomatic strategy, including Operation Sindoor and Operation Vermilion, underscores the nation’s resolve to protect its borders and citizens from the menace of terrorism. PM Modi’s statement is not just a warning to Pakistan but also a reaffirmation of India’s commitment to safeguarding its sovereignty and security.

With tensions still running high, the world waits anxiously to observe whether both countries will be able to resolve their age-old problems peacefully or whether military action will continue to escalate. For the time being, India’s message is clear and loud—terrorism will not be accepted, and India will keep taking bold steps to eradicate the threat at its doorstep.
